Certificate and Scroll. 13 1/4"x8 1/2" Certificate English/Latin with picture of the Pope Pius XII cut from a postcard glued on top. Also a mail stamped scroll from Dario de Luca, Via G. Mercalli 11 Roma to Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Hampton, 337 W. 138th Street, New York "Most Holy Father Mr. And Mrs. Lionel Hampton humbly prostrate at the feet of Your Holiness, beg the Apostolic Blessing and the Plenary Indulgence at the hour of death condition that being truly sorry for their sins but unable to confess them and to receive the Holy Viaticum, they shall at least invoke with their lips or heart the Holy Name of Jesus."
