Michael Tarabulski has been the Archivist for the International Jazz Collections since October of 2000. He graduated from the School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Wisconsin--Madison, in 1990 and moved to Moscow in March of 1991. After 18 months with the University of Idaho, in Special Collections and compiling bibliography, he moved to St. Louis where he worked as an historical research specialist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers until October of 1995. He returned to Moscow, briefly, but then spent the 1996-97 school year abroad, in Lodz, Poland. Returning again to Moscow he worked in Records Management at the UI and as a Reference Librarian at Owen Science and Engineering Library, Washington State University, until hired on as the IJC’s Archivist.

Kevin Dobbins graduated from Idaho Falls High School, and came to the University of Idaho in the fall of 2000. He has been with the International Jazz Collections since January 2003 and is the primary archival assistant to Michael Tarabulski. He is the IJC’s graphics and sound technician, has helped with the Jazzology 101 radio program at KUOI, and he coordinates volunteers for the IJC during the Lionel Hampton International Jazz Festival.
